Ansen has been building valve covers for over 45 years in Southern California. We have state of the art laser engraving machines that can give your valve covers a custom look. The powder coat finish was excellent, no flaws anywhere, bottom surface for gasket area was smooth and clean, these are very thick and extremely well made, all holes lined up perfectly, and the new look it gives the big block engine is second to none in my opinion. Great finish, great fit, and made in the USA. Have been looking for this style for quite some time Nice product fellas, I'll be back. Heavy, thick cast aluminum. Looks great on my exposed hot rod motor. Looks good. Taller than stock if you ever need extra height.

Using a small putty knife, remove the old gaskets and thoroughly clean the ridge of the cylinder heads. Apply a small amount of gasket glue to the backsides of the gaskets, as well as the mating surface if necessary. To insert the stud, lock the two nuts together and turn clockwise. Nothing is more annoying than the constant dribble of oil running down the back and sides of your motor due to leaking valve cover gaskets. Not only does it burn off the exhaust and smoke when driving, but it also makes a mess of your clean driveway at home. Sure, as long as you keep plenty of oil in the motor, there is no problem. These baffled grommets seem like they'd be better than the one you describe as a bowl Amazon. Then you could repaint the whole thing. I've never seen any smoke before, at all. It runs amazing! Re: Valve Covers On mine, one side has the breather that is baffled, the other side gromet is smaller and baffled for the pcv valve. Tall covers are made to accomodate roller rocker arms so if you like them tall then you will haver room to add rollers in the future. Please consider creating a new thread. Re: Valve Covers You can use those valve covers. I like naptha or brake cleaner myself. They come in tall and short models, and most include bolt-in baffles that can be replaced. Cut it and it can breathe and be used as an oil fill. Digg del. Thanks for the info! I've seen some baffle designs that look like they are closed but the goal is to allow air through but not oil. I'm looking to clean up this motor I have, Do I have to get the same valve covers that have these same hold downs?
