Her paintings present a light-hearted perspective of how Asian women could be portrayed. Her art draws inspiration from Asian female faces juxtaposed with the exposure of women in Asian society. Before painting, each canvas is covered with original vintage Japanese manga cartoons from her own collection. My decision to paint and pursue art without any formal training was driven by the power of passion. At first, I lacked confidence, doubting the value of my own work. It was only with the encouragement of a French poet and artist that I realised that the passion that drove me to create art was valid and worth pursuing. This was a life-defining moment for me.
