For the longest time, castle art colored pencils, the Holbein Colored Pencils cornered the colored pencil market with regards to beautiful pastel tones but at a very expensive price.

I like your advice at the end These colors are not exclusive to the theme sets right? Like the set is every color from the theme sets? That would be my guess, but I have not confirmed by comparing each color with the large set. I do know that some colors are duplicated from set to set.

As you guys know, I try to avoid discussing pencils in the wax or oils categories and rather describe to the best of my ability how the pencils feel to me of the different papers I test the pencils on. As always I have created some artwork with the pencils as I find this is an excellent way of helping you guys see the potential of the product. The barrels are round and have a nice black coating and on the end of each pencil is a color indicator, the ends of the pencils are rounded so you are unable to tell if the leads are straight or not. The core of both the Pasteltint and Gold colored pencils from Castle are almost identical when it comes to hardness, ability to layer and blend.
