It is comprised of the classic green tunic, hat, and boots that Link has almost always been seen wearing - but with a new woodland twist on the design, breath of the wild armor. This armor set is incredibly hard to obtain - as you will only be able to get it once you have completed all Shrines in the game. After completing every shrine, you will be invited to a new breath of the wild armor to receive a gift from all the monks that have tested you with their trials. Equipping all three of the armor pieces when upgraded twice will grant you a unique bonus: Master Sword Beam Up - which will let you fling blasts of energy from the Master Sword much farther when at full health than ever before.

I spent a lot of time acquiring all of the extras in the game. I wanted to get everything it had to offer. So I scanned amiibo, bought the DLC, and went about my merry way to hunt everything down. This only covers complete armors and not the one-offs like the Switch shirt or any of the masks. So here we go:. Not really an armor set, but this is how you start the game so why not start the list off with this? I was not a fan of Phantom Hourglass and not a fan of this armor. With no set bonus and not enhanceable, there really is no point in wearing this. Kinda says something…. Link gets a new outfit for every game, so why should Breath of the Wild be any different? I ranked this one way low because it requires you unlocking all shrines to get it. This was a weird one. It has increased swim speed and Swim Dash Stamina Up, but the Zora set is way more useful with additional abilities of swim attack and the ability to swim up waterfalls making this armor set a second class citizen. A proper RPG-like armor system being added into The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was something of a surprise, but given how much the game adjusts the existing Zelda formula perhaps we shouldn't be so surprised! There's quite a lot of armor in the game, and while they all share the same basic base stats with only minor variations, many have unique bonus effects. These bonus effects are not to be underestimated - the sheer difference having a full set of Zora armor makes to swimming or the climbing gear in full makes to your climb speed has to be seen to be believed. If you're playing Breath of the Wild smart, you'll be swapping gear often. Every piece of armor in Breath of the Wild starts with the same basic set of stats in a very small range, as you'll see below. Not accounted for below is how that every single Armor Set in the game can be upgraded - and upgrading them twice or more will give you access to their unique set bonuses.

Link can don a great variety armor items to defend himself with, keep warm, or just look plain stylish. Armor items include caps, tunics, trousers, jewelry , masks and unique pieces of armor awarded for completing side quests. Most armor can be upgraded by seeking out the Great Fairy Fountains hiding in Hyrule. After giving the Great Fairies some rupees , they will upgrade armor using collected materials. Some armor provides bonuses if the whole set is worn after upgrading the armor pieces to level 2. For max upgrade level 4 , Link must find and activate all four Great Fairy Fountains. All of the items below are hidden in chests scattered around the world and must be found - and many sets and pieces are references to previous Zelda games. These items are unique and once acquired, if sold accidentally, they can be purchased in Tarrey Town first building on the right upon entering from the main road.
