The BRAT or, Brumby was never officially offered in the Japanese market and they were offered for the through model years, having been designed in Subaru added the two jump seats in order for these vehicles to be classified as passenger cars instead of trucks, I kid you not. Has there been a movie made about that yet?

Ok I'm wondering if the 1st Gen Jump Seats are legal to use on the road? I live in Colorado, I'm sure I would be fine using them off road. I want to know if anyone has ever gotten a ticket on the street. Let me know your thoughts. Check with local LE. This one is a four-seater: yes, it has jump seats! The next owner has some work ahead of them if they plan on making this BRAT look like new again. No, really. Sadly, this BRAT is one year away from having had the famous third-eye passing light, better known as the Cyclops light. The interior is in rough shape, as a lot of vintage Subarus are. The seller shows a few underside photos and it appears that the floors have been repaired, sort of, and undercoating is everywhere. The BRAT was sold from through and they were all four-wheel-drive.
