Now playing in The Dome. When strange bones are discovered in a muddy Kansas river bank, paleontologists set out to investigate a mystery buried in time. Through ultra-realistic 3-D computer animation Sea Monsters takes audiences back to the Late Cretaceous, when the sea was dominated by giant marine reptiles, some as large as present-day whales. Stunning photo-realistic computer-generated animation transports audiences back to the Late Cretaceous, when a great inland ocean divided North America in two. Vibrant colors and mesmerizing animations synchronize with the timeless tracks, immersive visuals and powerful emotions evoked by this legendary album. This is the only large-screen film endorsed by the band itself.

The expansion project kicks off March 7 with construction on the west side of the building, along the river and impacting the parking lot. Whether your visit includes exploring the exhibits or catching a show on its own, the Dome theater is a Wichita attraction not to be missed! Immerse yourself under the soaring foot screen with a degree view and booming surround sound in the largest dome theater in Kansas. The only question is… where do you want the Dome to take you? No words or pictures do it justice. Very, very affordable. It was the best part. Audio is done by very small holes in the dome that project sound through the screen for a complete degree surround experience. There are things for toddlers to grown-ups to enjoy. The Dome is a must for any first-timer.
