But I will need to pickpocket the blade from Grelod the kind at the beginning of the quest chain. My question is, do I absolutely need misdirection to pickpocket the dagger? Or can it be done without that perk? I ask because I'm still early in the game and don't quite have the pickpocket level to have that perk. You absolutely need the misdirection perk to pickpocket any equiped weapon. And you need to get it from astrid. Im coming up on that quest right now so ill double check to see if she has it equiped or not.
