When do applications open and when are they due? Applications open between May-September, but dates vary by program. This program takes place between June and August of each year. MBA students in their final year of study are also welcome to apply to the Advanced Degree program on the early careers page. Our Summer Internship Program is designed to provide students a challenging, meaningful and supportive internship experience that replicates as closely as possible the experience of being a full-time BlackRock Analyst. The program begins with a Summer Intern orientation which offers a thorough overview of the firm and the opportunity to hear from a number of senior leaders. Following orientation, interns receive on-the-job training and are given day-to-day responsibilities to contribute to their teams throughout the summer. The program also includes a speaker series, mentoring program, and various networking opportunities. The firm is highly committed to the Summer Internship Program and it is the main pipeline into our Analyst Program. I was in a business development role there, expanding the company across the globe. As the largest asset manager in the world, BlackRock is of course a unique place to be in the investment management industry, and it offers a wide array of opportunities. But beyond that, at BlackRock we feel a deep sense of responsibility toward our clients and stakeholders, and we act on that in part through our commitment toward a better and more sustainable future. The MBA Summer Associate Program was a great opportunity for me to get to know the firm, showcase my skills and, most importantly, connect with my team and other colleagues prior to returning full-time. My team took care to ensure I had the best experience possible, and with their support, I was able to effectively contribute and showcase my skillset and working style during the program. That only reinforced that this was a place I wanted to be long-term. I came into the program with the highest expectations about the people at BlackRock, but even those were surpassed once I got to know my colleagues here.
