Especially in a modern society where the media projects these ideas into every facet of our lives, we are now educated very early on as to how life apparently is. Every middle-class Indian child knows that every middle-class Indian parent expects them to be a model child, academically inclined exuding the cultural ideals of social existence. But then if you were a product of the post millennial era like I am, biromantic asexual, then the ideals set out for you by your peers is exactly biromantic asexual opposite of what your parents want you to be. I excelled in academics, biromantic asexual, took part in extra-curricular activities and alcohol and parties were never really my thing.

A person who is biromantic asexual may feel romantic attraction to people of two or more genders and may not experience sexual attraction to people of any gender. However, it is important to note that these identities are personal, and people may define them differently. I've known that I'm asexual for a few months now, but after struggling with my feelings and confusing sexuality for years, I've come to realize that I'm bi-romantic asexual. It's been a little confusing, not being into sex at all. But the whole idea of it seems gross to me, and I don't enjoy seeing nudity especially not genitalia. Basically, I don't like the idea of it and I don't ever want to even try it. The thing is, I've looked back and I've come to realize something. I feel attraction to both males and females. It's so strange. I'm a guy and it's always felt so weird to me that sometimes I feel attraction to males. But at the same time, I feel the same attraction to girls. It's like, I find myself enjoying looking at both aesthetically pleasing men and women. But it never has to do with sex. It just feels nice.

It differs from bisexuality in that being biromantic is about romantic attraction, not sexual attraction. Nonbinary is an umbrella term encompassing many individual gender identities, such as bigender, pangender, genderfluid, and agender, to name just a few. So, you might be biromantic without relating to the above. Panromantic means having the capacity to be romantically attracted to people of all genders. Biromantic means having the capacity to be romantically attracted to people of multiple genders. Panromantic, on the other hand, is about all gender groups. Some people identify as both biromantic and panromantic.

It's the same as celibacy. Asexual biromantic people can have fulfilling lifestyles and partnerships, and you can too. A biromantic asexual person may not be in a relationship with someone who identifies with the same romantic or sexual orientations. Technically then the term should fit me perfectly. In a relationship with a male or female i would like to be, as you put it, the 'protect-y' have someone protect me. A biromantic asexual person is one who seeks out romantic encounters and partnerships with multiple genders, usually nonbinary, but not necessarily.
