The update adds a new character class to the tabletop-inspired RPG: the Barbarian. On top of that, Patch 7 adds improvised weapons, makes improvements to nearly cinematics, and overhauls the HUD UI. Like many of those other classes, the Barbarian is also split into subclasses. The Barbarian subclasses are Berserker and Wildheart. The subclass is built around using Rage to tank hits and deal more damage.

As players explore the coast region in the first act of Baldur's Gate 3 , they may stumble upon an ambushed caravan with packs of hyenas and gnolls on the hills by Risen Road. This leads parties to a relatively short side quest involving survivors of the ambush and the precious cargo they were attempting to deliver. Like most things in Baldur's Gate 3 , aiding the survivors and securing their cargo isn't so clear-cut. There's a big fight to be fought, choices to be made, and consequences to consider. For players who want to err on the side of caution, here's a guide that explores all the possible outcomes of this side quest. To start this side quest, go past the Blighted Village and either jump across the bridge by the barn or cross the stream below. Players will encounter ruined cargo wagons along with some Bloated Hyenas in the middle of the road. Ignore these and sneak up toward the hillside to find a pack of gnolls eating villagers. Get rid of them, and follow the trail of blood and paw prints toward a larger horde of gnolls and two men stuck inside a cave. The gnolls here are at least Level 4, with the Flind the Warlord being Level 5. Players can brute-force their way through the horde or use the Mind Flayer parasite to turn the Warlord against her friends. Alternatively, Flind and her gnolls can be coerced into charging the two men in the cave — they will take damage during the scuffle, softening them up for the player's own party. Let one turn to pass without killing Flind to trigger this scene.

Anti-Control Spells? Joined: Jul The possibilities to remove control spells or negative effects from others in DnD 5e seem a bit underdeveloped to me. Or is that wrong? In some cases you can remove control from party members with the Help action ok , sometimes with simple healing maybe too easy?
First, you will need to find the Owlbear Nest, where the mother and Owlbear Cub can be found. The nest can be found northeast of Blighted Village and southwest of Emerald Grove. Once you enter the nest, you will have plenty of choices to coerce your way out of the sudden interaction with Owlbear. Besides, the mother Owlbear actually has an item tied to another quest, so we personally had to put our own good first and slay her. Though seeing the cub eat its mom afterward was pretty heartbreaking. At first, it looked like a tough task, especially since our first encounter with the goblins ends up in us killing them. There, you need to find Krolla , who should have the Owlbear Cub near her side after a couple of long rests after encountering them in the nest. To claim the Owlbear Cub, you need to speak to Krolla , who will invite you to her game of Chicken-Chasing. Then, you can intimidate or persuade her, or buy the cub for gold—the choice is yours. You can also take the second route and play the Chicken-Chasing, where you can interact with the cub via Animal Handling, but you will still need to talk to Krolla about obtaining it afterward.
