Absolute gem of a place overlooking the Loch. The award-winning Edinbane Lodge near Dunvegan is also well worth a visit. This seafood restaurant in Portree is known for its affordable and great seafood. Would be nice to be able to finish your meal and have a leisurely drink afterwards instead of being ushered into an extremely small snug with your kids with desert and drinks. Would definitely recommend if you're coming to Isle of Skye and book in advance! Edinbane Lodge is a charming and exclusive Scottish restaurant, with a long history dating back to It tasted good, but the description on the menu said cod with mash potatoes and a tomato jus, but it was more like chunks of cod, baked in with a ratatouille-like sauce courgettes etc and an almost pureed potato. All the courses were brilliantly creative and tasty! The staff was very nice and helpful. This was a miss for me.
