Shadow Exeggutor is a solid Grass Type attacker and a usable Psychic Type attacker, though it's still outclassed in general. It's probably worth raising for newer players that need Pokemon to fill either of its types on their team, but generally not worth the investment for players who are already well off on those two fronts. Bullet Seed offers superior energy generation, but the lack of damage output is discouraging. Shadow Exeggutor feels like a solid Pokemon on paper, but in practice it's just too easily dealt with in open Great League. However, unprepared attackers will still be left stinging from a barrage of Confusion and Seed Bomb backed by a big Atk stat. Bullet Seed offers superior energy generation, but the lack of damage output is discouraging. Exeggutor is badly outclassed in terms of both Psychic and Grass types in the great league, leaving it little to no niche to call its own. It's best to just look elsewhere.
