The first and original release of Being a DIK was a Patreon release and included full episode 1 with all the future episodes added via patches as DLCs. While on digital distribution online stores such as Steam and later GOG, the game is distributed through seasons where season 1 was a base game and others work as DLCs, the Patreon release included full rerelease with each new episode as well as patches for individual episodes. Upon arriving there he ends up pledging into Delta Iota Kappa fraternity due to a various array of mishaps that plague his arrival and initial experience as a college student. The game uses pre-rendered CG scenes where player can both be depicted in 3rd or 1st-person perspective, depending on the scene in question.
