By Ideb , September 16, in Florida Departures. I am wanting to rent a car at Miami International Airport and return it at a location closer to the cruise port, then get a shuttle to the cruise. I have been researching this online and found that Avis and Budget have a location on 2nd street that has a shuttle to take passengers to the cruise port when they return the rental car. I have reading conflicting information about whether Hertz does this. Do anyone have any experience doing this recently?

There are 2 locations Q8M and M Which location to drop off the rental car to take the shuttle to the POM. I have heard some of the car rental shuttles take forever, I was wondering how Avis' was. We are looking for a rental car office away from the Miami airport. You'll be waiting a long time for the Avis shuttle as there is none. There is however a downtown Miami Avis office that's around 5 minutes from the port. Thrifty and Alamo has a shuttle to pick up at the port. We are using alamo and we were advised they have a shuttle stop that runs every 20 min's right at the port.. I was also advised no deposit just the cost of the rental and actually it was the cheapest I had found and trust I looked at all of them:D.
