The curse and blessing of visiting a place so wonderful is not having enough words to explain it all. So I'll cut to the chase — I loved everything about our dinner at Atlas Eats. It was one of the most thoughtful meals I've experienced in Rochester. They're doing something so special that I want to keep it to myself but also shout from the rooftops. Diane and Gerry Brinkman, owners of the Irondequoit neighborhood eatery on North Clinton Avenue, have created a concept unlike anything else in town: a rotating menu featuring dishes from regions around the globe dubbed the "Edible Atlas" dinner series.

I just had their bread pudding. It was so delicious, I wish I had bought them all up! Great food on a regular basis. Definitely should try out their weekend multiple course dinner menus. They choose to do food from a different country or region every week. Atlas Eats is an out of the way treasure in Irondequoit. It was scrumptious divinity. There were tons of flavors and unique dishes inspired by Italy.

Thursdays this month, a special Prix Fixe menu, Menu Du Voyageur, will explore the cuisine of various regions of France. Every dish was delicious; particularly noteworthy were the grilled shrimp in pumpkin seed sauce, the pattypan squash that accompanied them, and the pastry shells of the empanadillas. You'll definitely end up trying some yummy options that you never would have ordered if they had just been on a menu and you were picking. Every need was anticipated without us having to ask for a thing. On the table sat a small bowl of roasted garlic cloves resting in olive oil for dipping.
