WAFB - A teacher with Ascension Public Schools and her husband have been arrested on charges related to cruelty to juveniles, police records show. Both children are under the age of The teacher, year-old Michelle Degroat, was placed on leave from her job at Central Middle School after the school system became aware of her arrest, a school system spokesperson said.
