The Joker is an insane, homicidal supervillain, and the arch nemesis of Batman. His white skin, green hair and blood red lips belied the chaotic nature that underlay his cartoonish appearance. The Joker's exact origin is a mystery, barring that Batman was somehow involved. He revealed a possible story to Dr. Harleen Quinzel in Arkham Origins and to Professor Hugo Strange in Arkham City : once he had been a failed stand-up comedian who worked night shifts at Ace Chemicals in a feeble attempt to support his sickly wife Jeannie and their unborn child. They died just before the night that he helped a gang of thieves from The Falcone Crime Family break into the Ace Chemicals plant, disguised as the infamous Red Hood.

Im confused about the Joker and why Batman saw him during the game. I got the impression that the Joker inserted his consciousness into Batman in some way when he got infected by his blood in Arkham City and now at the start of Arkham Knight the Jokers consciousness was starting to take over Batmans mind and body. I have seen people on the internet make it sound like i was correct and i have seen other people say that the Joker was only an illusion created by Scarecrows fear gas and the Joker was about Batmans fear of becoming another Joker copy like the people in the movie studio and his fear of getting his friends killed and failing to save Gotham. And people that say that it was the real Jokers consciousness say that the movie studio people also got parts of Joker inside of them but only Batman got the entire real thing. So was the stuff with the Joker ever actually explained? Was it the real Jokers consciousness that was trying to take over Batmans body or was it just an illusion created by the fear gas that repressented Batmans fears? Mind you I haven't finished the game yet, but considering Mistah J doesn't show up until Batman gets dosed I believe he's mostly a product of the fear gas.

Taking control of Arkham's intercom system the Joker told his goons to destroy the Batmobile to keep Batman from leaving, arkham knight joker. The Joker Infection was a unique condition created by the Joker 's mutated blood that slowly turned those infected into direct copies of him. Prior to the events of Batman: Arkham City , the chances for a cure to the Titan Disease were looking slim. Joker had the doctors Hugo Strange sent him drain his infected blood and transfuse healthy blood to extend his life while also having Strange send him Mr. Freeze 's wife Nora Fries as leverage to get Freeze to develop a cure. Not wanting to go out by himself, Joker blackmailed Strange into sending his tainted blood to hospitals all over Gotham City by reminding him about his experiments with the Arkham Lunatics , Mad Hatter and Quincy Sharp. Joker even managed to poison Batman with his blood forcing the Dark Knight into helping him get the cure for the disease.

So, how about that Arkham Knight? Yes, the titular character under the mask was exactly who many expected him to be since the beginning: Jason Todd. The second Robin following Dick Grayson, who graduated to his role as solo hero Nightwing, the comic book version of Jason Todd was killed by the Joker after fans literally voted to axe him via numbers. He returned either because Superboy Prime punched the walls of reality, or because Talia al Ghul revived him via a Lazarus Pit. Depends on when depends on which comics you consider cannon.

The Joker was a notorious mass murderer, terrorist and anarchist with white skin, green hair and red lips with a tendency to wear purple clothing, concealing the true force of chaos underneath his colorful appearance. Appearing seemingly out of nowhere, his true identity and origin were never discovered. With no super-powers beyond his capacity for incredible violence and destruction, the Joker prided himself on being the one criminal in Batman 's extensive Rogues' Gallery who shared a unique connection to the Dark Knight, often pushing the hero to his ultimate limits in physical and psychological battles. As intelligent as he was violent, the Joker formulated countless plans to destroy Gotham City , which led to the brutal deaths of thousands of men, women, and children over the years, to simply feed his lust for anarchy and notoriety, torment Batman and his allies, and satisfy his sadistic sense of humor. Defining his life through his battles with the Dark Knight, whose unbreakable moral code greatly fascinated him, the Joker disturbingly viewed Batman as his greatest enemy and friend to engage in a game of cat and mouse with.

In reality this was all a stunt for his mayoral campaign, and the plans of more sinister forces. The Joker laid out his ultimatum: Batman was forced to fight Bane to the death as Joker strapped himself, with a hostage Captain Gordon, to an electric chair that would automatically kill him unless a heartbeat monitor attached to the chair registered Bane's death. Batman then proceeded to cut Clayface into pieces with the sword, at which point the Joker, after he made a tasteless joke about Talia's death, detonated the bombs on the floor for a "change of scenery. Batman went after Harley, who sent her thugs after Batman again, though he managed to defeat them all. Joker eventually had Clayface disguise himself as various TYGER personnel in order to infiltrate their locations and obtain their equipment and even their card keys and codes needed to access structures right outside Arkham City's perimeter walls. Pretending to stumble and trip, the Joker bashed his guard in the face with the back of his head as the guard demanded him to get up. The infection took the form of Joker, who Batman was finally able to genuinely scare and lock away in a dark corner of his mind represented by Arkham Asylum 's Extreme Isolation , purging himself of Joker's insanity for good. Ultimately, Scarecrow, who returned after two years of hiding and plotting after Killer Croc's attack on him underneath Arkham Asylum, which left him horribly scarred and deformed, took over the criminal underworld and united all of Batman's enemies. Even as Joker was dragged back to Arkham, his plan unraveled. Joker told Batman that his toys need to be used for senseless violence, not museum pieces. All the joker visions wasn't the joker talking to him, it was basically him thinking like the joker. As distraught parents wept and struggled to identify their children, the Clown continued to taunt them with a recording of himself singing nursery rhymes. As Ivy continued to yell about Batman killing her plants, the Joker moaned over the intercom if she ever shut up about them. With his plans ultimately ruined, Joker demanded his last hope from Batman, and taunted him that despite all the death and destruction that he caused in just a single night, Batman would still save him. He was hosting the sinister soiree of the century - until a clumsy waitress spilled a drink on the Joker.

Joker even laughed that Batman left evidence of his "theft" behind in the room, noting that it was a subtle joke. Sadly, it is. Just before Titan-Joker could grab him, Batman punched him straight in the teeth, and detonated the gel at the same time, causing a massive explosion which sent both Titan-Joker and Batman backwards. To his irritation Croc only managed the former. Over the following weeks, as Arkham City was shut down, Batman saw to it that a massive quantity of the cure for the Titan Disease was manufactured and administered to all of Joker's victims, which cured them and saved their lives. While making his way to the roof, Joker spotted one of the Penguin 's drones following them and ordered Croc to smash it and retrieve its memory card so he could see just how much the Penguin had managed to learn. After he deactivated the three bombs, Batman went to arrest Harley and discovered that it was she who stole the Mechanical Guardians from Wonder City and used them to attack him. After Batman shut off the pumps, Joker sent down a Titan Henchman as a token of his displeasure. However, after realizing that it was never simple with the Joker, Batman began to rethink all the strange occurrences throughout the night: a seemingly dead Joker dummy in a wheelchair, the two versions of the Joker card left in place of the cure, and a healthy Joker looking into a mirror that reflected a sickly Joker. The Joker then coldly said to the dead guard: "The choke's on you! They spread through the island, attacking and killing any living thing that they could find. Harley pounded on the door, certain that Cobblepot would let bygones be bygones. Batman subdued Croc, escaping the police in his Batwing and leaving the cannibal killer to them. Talia presented her sword to the Joker, who gladly accepted it, agreed to lead the League of Assassins, and planned on taking advantage of Talia's knowledge of the Lazarus Pit to finally locate it. Batman tried to negotiate the release of the bank manager since the Joker "had" him.
