Beef Jerkey is like eating 1 peice of normal cooked meat. The real benafit is it lasts a really really long time. Nope, not for taming. Once tamed, cooked meat , a single stack, is a longer lasting food source for them, however most of it rots as they stand around, just like regular meat. Just rots slower.

This is because the 2 different types of oils generate 2 different types of seemingly identical jerky. However, both types can be used in making kibble so you may as well make them at the same time assuming you have all the ingredients. Basically, you can make jerky faster by making all 6 at the same time.

Personally, I have done quite a bit of taming with Prime meat Jerky, granted the lvl bonus after you tame it will not be as good as using prime meat, but I find it very useful because I can always breed to get stronger Dino's, point is, I usually bring prime jerky with me when I plan to do some taming, the biggest reason, it's hard to find a lot of prime meat and keep it from spoiling for a tame, so I use the jerky, if I see a chance to get raw prime on hand AT THE TAMING LOCATION I will get it and use it, otherwise in my opinion, prime jerky is a decent alternative to using raw meat and trying to find enough raw prime meat for a tame.
