It is a flat but craggy region that has traditionally been the home of the humans of Arathor , who gave the region its name. The main hubs of activity are now Refuge Pointe and Hammerfall , which houses bases for Alliance and Horde , respectively. The large city of Stromgarde lies in ruins to the southwest, and pockets of Syndicate resistance dot the land. The Boulderfist ogres also infest Arathor, and prove to be a constant threat to the Alliance , Horde , and Syndicate factions vying for supremacy.

Arathi Highlands s one of those zones that you only really go to get the quests achievement done, there's nothing else of interest here, no dungeons and no raids found here. Hammerfall, the Horde settlement in the zone has the burial grounds of Orgrim Doomhammer who was killed during the Horde campaign there. The location is named in honour of the fallen Orc Leader. For the Alliance, the main settlement is Refuge Point located right in the middle of the zone. There is also the fallen Stormgarde Keep, which was once a human settlement but is now inhabited by enemies of both sides, predominantly humans and Ogres. There is a small Troll settlement to the south east and who are hostile to both the Alliance and Horde. Also to the south is a bridge to the southern section of the Eastern Kingdoms. In Battle for Azeroth , the area was upgraded with a number of Rares added that could drop mounts. If you're looking for a hopeful easy kill and getting a mount, here is the area to go. You will be well equiped though as they are no push-overs.
