Once, the antiquarian fought side by side with the heroes in the fight against the darkness; not out of honor or selflessness, but for her own personal gain. Those times are gone, and with them any bond that was forged between her and her former companions. Now, she and her new entourage seek to take advantage of the chaos and disharmony of the world, robbing any and all who cross their path of their Relics. Though not a fighter, she more than makes up for it by her cunning tactics and deceiving incenses. She empowers her allies and disorients her foes with an assortment of exotic vapors, and should she be forced to defend herself, she is equipped with a dagger, though the idea of having to use it makes her nervous. Even when defeated in battle, she manages to escape each time, the heroes never seeming to be able to strike her down for good. For the next few days the Antiquarian Update will live on this beta branch that will require players to opt into. Once you opt in you cannot go back to the older build. We want to start handling all our major updates this way as it helps leverage what was so great about our time in Early Access, namely: our community. Allowing the update to percolate a bit in the beta branch gives us a chance to pivot and course-correct based on your feedback. The Linux port is practically ready and we will be rolling it out later this month. We are thankful for the patience of all our Linux users and look forward to seeing them enjoy the game. Antiquarian darkest dungeon

The Antiquarian is a playable class in Darkest Dungeon. In the Butcher's Circus, she becomes a support character that specializes in Blight, Stress, and healing. Meaning for instance, that the Man-at-Arms' and the Houndmaster's guards cannot be simultaneously applied to the Antiquarian's guard buffs stack however. Since the Circus is pure combat, her functions have been changed drastically. She can't help you find more rewards, but her combat capability has improved. Festering Vapours is the strongest attack for the Antiquarian. Party-wide Stress is invaluable, and it can be used to stack Blight. Expect to see nearly any Antiquarian spam this attack when they're not supporting the party. Rejuvenating Vapours is not as strong as other healing abilities, but because it applies a Restoration buff instead of a direct heal, it can be used to keep heroes out of Death's Door when they're being targeted repeatedly. DoTs can counter this healing, however.
