Anamika is an Indian soap opera that aired on Sony Entertainment Television. It premiered on 26 November [1] and went off-air on 13 September Jeet Saluja starts encountering a mysterious woman. Her identity is later revealed as Anamika, an extremely beautiful woman who lives alone in a large bungalow in the forest. Anamika loves Jeet and he is strangely attracted to her. He discovers that it is in fact a negative energy that is trying to win him over and he stops meeting her. Eventually, he realises his love for Rano, his childhood best friend. Anamika, revealed to be a witch, abducts Jeet and takes him to her house where bodies of the different men she married and killed, hang. Rano tries to save him but fails. Jeet manages to escape and is finally reunited with his family.

The trailer, which shows Sunny fighting goons and doing action sequences impressed some fans but left others wondering that the series looked similar to several Hollywood films. The trailer opens with Sunny's Anamika living a quiet life and even planning to get married. We then see a government official Rahul Dev discovering her existence and explain that she was 'one of the best agents and she has gone wrong'. The powers that be decide that since she knows too much about powerful people, she must be eliminated. The trailer then kicks into high gear as we see Anamika get back at her pursuers in a montage interspersed with action sequences and gunfire. Several fans reacted positively to the trailer, applauding Sunny's new action avatar. However, many others pointed out that the trailer had similarities to a number of spy films from Hollywood, ranging from Salt to the Bourne series.
