After David's experimentation with the pathogen, Planet 4 became home for the Neomorph species that were spawned from airborne spores released from mutated egg sacks , and for the Praetomorph species after David created Ovomorphs containing Facehuggers. Sometime after the Covenant departed Planet 4, a team from Weyland-Yutani arrived on the planet to investigate David's actions. While exploring the lab to document the rogue synthetic 's scientific discoveries , one of the explorers inspected an Ovomorph and was attacked by a Facehugger. The first is while Mother pinpoints this planet as the origin of the rogue transmission.
Unfortunately it didn't look too impressive, it should have had more Gige-style, but maybe there would have been another way to make it look interesting even though there would have been no Giger.

Indeed, this is something i have covered a number of times and one of the Big Themes at play, which is that We are what we are, and no soon as we try and Perfect Ourselves Experiment on ourselves and even try and create our own creations Only for not being sure of it now And they "engineers" looked like they were waiting for someone to come back. That might be the case, but since we just got a quick glimpse of it there was almost no time to think about it. And it's a welcoming process till something seems to be going wrong and they don't understand why the belly is opening up. Our species is grossly overpopulated and incapable of living harmoniously within any eco system. Missed opportunities , guess it could be worse. But then, this makes him not rational. If you answer this question, you will know why he executed those engineers. Caveat, my list of great movies is probably is different to your list. If I just search for support for a hypothesis that great movies are those based on great stories so far it checks out. Why mankind looks nothing like the Engineers?
