The contest is Australia's largest coffee roasting awards, and Aldi's Lazzio brand has snapped up the top honour for the third year running. The coffee brand was chosen from more than entries, spanning the who's who of Aussie coffee. The house brand coffee range took home six medals spanning a range of categories, from Filter Coffee, to Espresso and Milk Based Espresso beverages. The range includes Single Origin Beans spanning Peru, Brazil, Colombia and Honduras, with medium-to-dark roasts, and ground coffee also included. Aldi's coffee partner since , Victorian-based Black Bag Roasters, is behind the award-winning bean range, and has garnered a cult following in the course of the past seven years.
