With the release of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. It has some fantastic XP rewards for players, but you must complete all three objectives to enjoy that. Here are the three tasks you must do, which can, technically, be done in any order:. First and foremost, the easiest part of the Cartel Investigation is finding the cartel. They are less armored than the standard Al Mazrah AI which makes eliminating five of them, which is a requirement of the mission, fairly easy. Look for medium-sized boxes with blue tape on the corners. When you have two large contraband packages, your next move is to get to the nearest exfil site.

Since the key lies in the oceans off the Al Mazrah map, this Rebreather remains the one tool needed to reach it.

Called the Dark Waters mission, one objective sees players try and infiltrate a sunken ship off the coast of Al Mazrah to get this key. A special field upgrade called a Rebreather is needed before players can retrieve the Cartel Warehouse Key from the sunken ship. Before players can make their way to the Cartel Warehouse Key, they have to find a Rebreather field upgrade to hold their breath underwater. Since the key lies in the oceans off the Al Mazrah map, this Rebreather remains the one tool needed to reach it. Unfortunately, the Rebreather spawns randomly among ground loot, chests, weapon lockers, or other containers on the map, but players could use the new Barter System in a DMZ match to trade for this upgrade.

While it's not quite as tricky as killing the Scavenger and finding his calling cards, it can be tough to locate the cartel on a map as expansive as Al Mazrah. To complete this DMZ mission, you're going to have to find them and steal some Large Contraband Packages before escaping to extraction with the loot. So, here's where to find the cartel on the map, and where to locate the packages you can steal. The Cartel Investigation mission requires you to find the new gang in Al Mazrah, kill five of their foot soldiers, and steal two Large Contraband Packages before extraction. You can find the cartel in the Hafid Port area in the west of the map, towards the south-east end by the UAV tower, where they'll be hanging out in the open by the warehouse buildings. They're actually a lot better to kill than the regular Al Mazrah soldiers as they aren't armoured, and carry better weapons to loot like M16s and LMGs.

The Cartel Investigation mission for the Tier 1 Redaction faction requires players to find out where these enemies are and extract resources from under their noses. The cartel is located in the Hafid Port region of Al Mazrah. It's the westernmost POI on the map and once you enter it, the first task in the mission will automatically be checked off. Now, you need to kill 5 cartel soldiers in the same area. Any AI enemy that you come across in the Hafid Port area is a cartel associate and eliminating them will count towards the mission progress. For the final task in the mission, you need to collect and extract 2 large contraband packages, which can also be found in the Hafid Port region itself. These brown-colored packages spawn randomly on top of tables and inside shelves, mainly inside the warehouses in the area. We even managed to acquire two of these items placed next to each other.
