Across the world on that same weekend, the Beeline Arena in Astana received colored and black belts as they sought those sweet ranking points and the glory of being called a champion in the AJP. The battle was not an easy one, as neither of the competitors allowed themselves to be submitted. By the time the clock ran out, Pedro Marques rose as the 77kg division champion with a score.
