A player is eligible to participate in AJGA events as early as age If a year old has been competing in at least hole events, it might be time to start playing the AJGA one-day Qualifiers associated with the Junior All-Star Series tournaments for year olds only. Use the Yardage and Scoring Averages by Series to assess if your child might be competitive. In general, a player whose skills are competitive that gets an early start will be able to more gradually build confidence and Performance Based Entry earnings over time and be in a position to easily gain entry into AJGA tournaments when college recruiting becomes the focus during high school. The Junior Plus membership is for high school players that will use the additional items that are related to college golf recruiting. The Future Player membership is a non-playing membership for those too young to participate or those who want to be an AJGA member but do not intend to play in any tournaments.
