You can use our Resolution Center within 60 days of your reservation's checkout date to request or send money for things related to your Airbnb trip. It helps to have any photos or other relevant evidence ready when you submit a Resolution Center request. Staying at a hotel? The Resolution Center may not be available for use with some hotel stays. In those cases, you will need to resolve issues directly with the hotel. You may also contact us to help mediate issues where helpful. I see many people asking how to refund guests, charge them for extra services, or claim against damages. Below is a guide on how to use the Resolution Centerto request money from your guests. You will be taken to the "Resolution Center" page where it shows any resolutions you had in the past. To make a resolution request, choose either "Send money" or "Request money". If you have more than one reservation from the same guest, you will need to choose the reservation for which you are making the request for and then choose "Next". Depending on whether the guest is a current guest, a past guest, or a future guest, the options change so choose the best option. You will need to go through the steps I shared above first and it is the same so I did not want to repeat this on each request demonstration. On the next screen, you can add another item if you have more and you will be taken through the same steps. On this last screen, you can preview your request and if you are happy with it, choose request and your request will be sent to the guest for approval or they could decline the request. You will then have the option to upload images.

If a Host cancels a reservation prior to check-in, their guest will automatically receive a full refund. Guests must report Reservation Issues within 72 hours after discovery. Rebooking assistance or the amount refunded depends on several factors including the severity of the Reservation Issue, the impact on the guest, the portion of the stay affected, whether the guest vacates the accommodations, other mitigating factors, and the strength of evidence provided of the Reservation Issue. To request rebooking assistance or a refund, the guest who made the reservation must contact us or their Host within 72 hours after discovery of the Reservation Issue. Requests should be supported by relevant evidence such as photographs, videos, or confirmation of the conditions by the Host, which we will use to help determine whether a Reservation Issue has occurred.
