Im not much in position to complain here, as ADBS was always the other service I fed because it was open and free. It probably took longer to type this message than it would do to log on and remove it. Anyone use opensky-network. Thought I would remove my feed too. I have been trying to login as pi with the password flightaware. I am getting access denied. Is there any easy way around this or would I have to set up a new feed?

ADSBexchange works by collecting data from volunteers. Because of the nature of the task, volunteers are encouraged to get feeders that require minimal maintenance. The items should also be designed to stay active in harsh environmental conditions.

They're not supposed to disable transponders in the required airspace - they've got to comply with the FAA rules too. You cannot copyright raw data. Dump created this large community because the code was well written. And now you are mad? An aircraft can only be tracked if the platform gets data from four or more devices. Limit: anonymous users 8min, registered users 80min per day. And I doubt I would annoy many people due to locality, odds of them simply not driving past the thing, and of course, only a few people knowing I'm doing plate scanning and posting it online. And even more if they want to pilot themselves. But we've decided it's in the public interest to have that information available. After all the feeds are up and running, make another image of the SD card, and this one becomes permanent. Problem solved. First, airplanes come in a lot of different sizes, and many don't cost anywhere near millions.
