Adblue/def fault audi

I had this message 4 months ago as well but simple turn off the engine and restart again solved the issues but the same adblue/def fault audi has come back last week but this time with engine management light as well.

Drove the car, Error goes away, then comes back a little later, but the Engine Management Light remains off. In other words one warning remains. The Miles counts down so when down to miles but when I park up, it reverts back to miles. This makes me think this is software error but if it's not, would the error disappear and then come back.
