Silver lived in an unknown country in a small village with his wife Mika and their son Gray Fullbuster somewhere in the North of Ishgar. One day a demon attacked by the name Deliora and killed all of the inhabitants minus his son Gray who survived. After his death, Silver's corpse was stolen by Keyes for the purpose of experimentation, among the bodies of many others. Keyes' experiments ended up being a success and bring him back to life.

He wears a black shirt that has a thick fur collar as well as a pair of overslees reaching to his upper arm which have been stiched on it. He also wears brown gloves over his hands and forearms, as well as dark brown, baggy pants which are tucked inside of a pair of brown boots. According to that has his armor on the sides of his waist a tasset, as well has shoulder armor. These plates on his shoulders are colored in a violet shape with a golden Tartaros symbol on it. And to top this yet awsome appearance does he wear a brownish white cape. Silver has a very different character than most of his guildmates.
