The Royal Australian Mint also uses the denomination to issue a large variety of circulating commemorative coins with the same size and composition - such as this one. The coins were released into circulation exclusively through the Woolworths Supermarkets chain, with customers receiving them in their change only one colour every week; the blue coins were released on 19 July A limited number were also issued in special folders just the five coloured coins; the Paralympic multi-coloured coin was issued in separate card. These were the first coins in the Royal Australian Mint's "Corporate Program" of issues distributed through exclusive partnerships. The obverse shows the crowned mature head of Queen Elizabeth II facing right her effigy known as the "Fourth Portrait". At centre, the design displays the emblem of the Australian Olympic Committee comprising of a kangaroo and emu facing a Federation star which represents the states and territories of Australia. Below them, the five Olympic rings. Around, concentric circles painted in blue stripes, surrounded by figures representing various sports.
