The Chevrolet Corvette C5 is the fifth generation of the Corvette 1998 corvette carproduced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors for the through model years. In fact, the C5 convertible is as solid as any we've driven. Chevrolet's engineering measurements support these perceptions. As a result, the convertible is only one pound heavier than the coupe, according to Chevy's specs.
